Maybe this isn’t necessarily the best way to learn more, but I think it still counts. Reading Nine Parts of Desire and taking Transnational Feminisms really taught me a lot about Islam and how its image in the Western culture is extremely negative. I want to know more about the religion, so that I can truthfully defend it.
Islam has its faults, but Christianity & Judaism, as well as other religions, aren’t so perfect either. No religion is perfect.
